Architectural Marvel

La Seu, the Gothic cathedral dominating Palma's skyline, was built between 1229 and 1601 on the site of a pre-existing Arab mosque. Its distinctive Catalan Gothic style features soaring flying buttresses and one of the world's largest rose windows.

Urban Transformation

The foreground water feature, part of the Parc de la Mar artificial lake complex created in the 1980s, provides stunning reflections of the cathedral. The saltwater lake sits just meters from the Mediterranean Sea, connected through underground channels.
