The Golden Valley
Altyn Arasan, meaning 'Golden Spring' in Kyrgyz, is one of the most spectacular gorges in the Tian Shan mountain range. The river carving through this valley is fed by glacial meltwater from peaks rising over 4,000 meters.
Pristine Wilderness The dense coniferous forest consists primarily of Tian Shan spruce (Picea schrenkiana), an ancient species endemic to this mountain range. These towering trees create a natural cathedral along the riverbanks.
Adventure Destination This remote valley near Karakol offers hot springs, hiking trails, and untouched natural beauty, making it a premier ecotourism destination in Central Asia.
