The Marsyangdi River rushes through the heart of this remote Himalayan settlement, its white waters carving through the valley floor between towering peaks. Traditional stone buildings with slate roofs cling to the mountainside, connected by narrow trails used by trekkers on the famous Annapurna Circuit.
Morning sunlight bathes the eastern faces of the mountains in golden light while shadows still hold the valley floor. Conifer forests dot the slopes, marking the transition zone between subtropical and alpine ecosystems at approximately 2,500-3,000 meters elevation.
This section of the Annapurna Circuit, between Chame and Pisang, represents one of the most scenic stretches of the 160-kilometer trek, offering dramatic views of Lamjung Himal and the surrounding peaks of the Nepalese Himalayas.
