A Monument to Lanna Heritage

Wat Chedi Luang stands as one of Chiang Mai's most sacred Buddhist temples, its towering chedi once reaching 86 meters before an earthquake left it in its current majestic state. The massive brick structure dominates the temple courtyard, bearing witness to over 600 years of spiritual devotion.

Architectural Splendor

The adjacent viharn prayer hall showcases classic Lanna architecture with its distinctive multi-tiered red roof, ornate golden bargeboards, and intricate white stucco work. Visitors walk across the brick-paved courtyard, exploring one of northern Thailand's most important religious sites.
