The Sacred Mountain Dawn
Sri Pada, known as Adam's Peak, rises 2,243 meters above sea level in Sri Lanka's Central Highlands. This UNESCO World Heritage region attracts thousands of pilgrims annually who climb the mountain via illuminated stairways to witness the legendary shadow cast at sunrise.
A Landscape of Biodiversity
The view encompasses the Peak Wilderness Sanctuary, a protected rainforest zone harboring endemic species including the purple-faced langur and Sri Lanka leopard. Below, the Castlereagh Reservoir provides hydroelectric power while creating a striking blue mirror against the emerald hills.
