The Valley of Wax Palms
Valle de Cocora harbors the world's tallest palm trees, the Ceroxylon quindiuense, reaching heights of up to 70 meters. These endangered giants are Colombia's national tree and exist nowhere else on Earth in such concentrations.
The misty Andean landscape creates an ethereal atmosphere as clouds roll through the valley, partially obscuring the towering palms that dot the emerald green hillsides of Colombia's coffee region.
