The Geometry of Paris
From this elevated perspective, Paris reveals its carefully planned urban design. The wide boulevards cut through the city in straight lines, a legacy of Baron Haussmann's 19th-century renovation that transformed the medieval city into the modern capital we recognize today.
The Eiffel Tower stands as the unmistakable focal point, its iron lattice structure rising above the uniform rooflines. Built for the 1889 Exposition Universelle, it remains the world's most visited paid monument and the global symbol of France.
